How do you plant a whole field at once in Valheim?
Short answer
Vanilla makes you place seeds one by one with strict spacing. Grid-planting mods let you drag out a whole evenly-spaced field in one action, and companion mods let you plant far more than the default crops.
Allows you to plant evenly spaced crops, either one at a time or in any amount of rows and columns, with grid snapping features and invalid crop placement prevention. Harvest in bulk and optionally auto replant crops. Configurable and supports gamepad.
Allows your cultivator to plant berry bushes, thistle, dandelions, mushrooms, previously unavailable tree types, and other decorative flora. Includes many other miscellaneous features (see description). Highly configurable with localization support.
Expands Valheim's farming and cooking with new crops (rice, tomatoes, pumpkins, apples and more), lox milking, and custom cooking stations with dozens of recipes.

The details
PlantEasily is the key mod here: it adds batch planting on a configurable grid with your chosen spacing, plus a harvest-all mode. Laying a field goes from minutes of clicking to one motion.
Combine it with PlantEverything so you're not limited to the handful of vanilla crops — you can plant trees, berries, mushrooms and more, which makes a big field actually worth automating.
Add Farming (Smoothbrain) if you want a progression skill that improves yield and speed as you plant, giving agriculture an RPG curve. All three are the classic farming stack.
Vanilla enforces per-seed placement and minimum spacing to prevent overlap, so large farms take a lot of clicks. Grid-plant mods automate the spacing and batching.
Can you harvest a whole field at once too?
Yes — PlantEasily and similar mods include a batch-harvest mode, so you collect an entire plot in one action instead of picking each plant.
