I built ModGenie to make it easier to find mods for the way you want to play. Choose a game, describe what you'd like to change, and it will help you find relevant projects to explore.
You might want a bigger inventory, or a way to craft using materials in nearby chests. You can start with that request, even if you don't know what the mod is called.
Having plenty of mods to choose from is great, but finding the right one can take some digging. You might try a few search terms and open several project pages before you know which mod fits. Two mods can sound similar while making quite different changes to the game.
I wanted to make that first part easier: describing what you'd like, then finding projects worth a closer look. I also hope ModGenie helps more people discover the work mod authors are already doing.
ModGenie uses AI to understand your request and look for relevant entries in the mod catalog for your chosen game. Each result includes a link to the project's page, where you can read the author's description and check game versions and installation requirements.
The mods come from platforms such as Thunderstore, Steam Workshop, and Modrinth, and are maintained by their respective authors. Before installing, check the project's dependencies and any multiplayer instructions if you're playing with friends.
For Valheim, you can also generate a modpack code to import your selected mods into a mod manager.
I build and maintain ModGenie independently. It's available in English and Simplified Chinese, and feedback helps me decide what to improve next.
