Create
Adds mechanical building and processing systems powered by rotation.
Start with Create, a recipe viewer and one small goal: press an iron ingot into an iron sheet. That project introduces a power source, shafts and a processing machine without asking you to build an entire factory. Choose your Minecraft version and loader before following a tutorial.
Adds mechanical building and processing systems powered by rotation.
Create offers so many moving parts that copying a huge build can leave you unable to repair it. A small working machine gives you something more useful at the beginning: a clear idea of where power comes from, how it travels and what the machine needs to process an item.
The main Create project publishes Forge and NeoForge releases, with availability depending on the Minecraft version. Create Fabric is a separate port with its own release schedule. A tutorial for one branch may describe items or behavior that differ in another.
Install the required dependencies of your selected release. Do not add a separate Flywheel JAR simply because an old tutorial says to: the main project states that separate installation has not been necessary since Create 0.5.1. Use the current release’s dependency information.
For a shared Create world, set up a matching content-mod environment for the server and players. This is not a graphics-only change. Before adding it to a valued save, make a backup and check the pack’s existing dependencies.
Use JEI to find the recipes for a Water Wheel, Shaft, Mechanical Press and Depot. For components with a Ponder prompt, hover over the item and hold the displayed key to watch the built-in demonstration.
Once this works, build a few more sheets before extending the system. You have a repeatable process to return to when the next machine needs parts.
Follow the connection from the wheel to the machine and look for the first place where rotation stops. Check shaft alignment and whether each component is connected as its Ponder scene shows.
If the whole network stops after adding a machine, inspect its stress capacity. Machines consume capacity, and increasing their speed can increase demand. Add suitable generation or reduce the load before trying a larger build.
Create recommends it for understanding recipes, but a recommendation is different from a mandatory dependency. Follow your selected release’s requirements. JEI is particularly helpful when the vanilla recipe book cannot explain a process.
Use the separate Fabric port when it supports your target version. Do not place a Forge or NeoForge JAR into a Fabric instance and assume it will convert itself.
It may be possible in a compatible environment, but world-generated resources will not simply appear in already generated terrain. Back up the save, review the selected release and plan for exploration. Removing content mods later can also leave missing blocks and items.
It is easier to understand after you have made a small processing machine work. Learn power transmission and one input-to-output process first, then add harvesting and item transport a piece at a time.
Use Jade to identify unfamiliar blocks, or return to the Minecraft mod overview. You can also search with ModGenie for a specific Create task, including your Minecraft version, loader and Create release.
