How can I armor vanilla cars?

Short answer

You can add armor to cars the game already spawns. That takes more than one Workshop item. Standardized Vehicle Upgrades 3 - Core - B42 is the framework. The vanilla addon is the piece for vanilla cars, and its dependencies are not one list for every build. Vehicle Armor Crafting is a separate Build 42 crafting route.

Standardized Vehicle Upgrades 3 - Core - B42

The shared framework. A vehicle addon is a separate subscription.

A pack of new cars that are already armored is a different request. Do not install one of those when the car you want to keep is a vanilla spawn.

Vehicle Armor Crafting B42You want that crafting route instead of the SVU3 pairWhatever that page listsIt is its own item. It does not replace the core by name alone.

Repairing a damaged part comes before armor if the car cannot move. An RV interior is weight and space, not a window plate. Say "specific modded car" in the search if the vehicle is not from the base game.

Common questions

Can I subscribe only to the vanilla addon?

No. The addon sits on the core. Enable the B42 core and the vanilla addon together, using the dependency line that matches your build.

Does this add a new truck?

No. These items armor vehicles you already have. A workshop car pack that includes its own armored models is a different mod.

Which dependency line do I use?

The vanilla addon page does not have a single dependency list for every build. Use the requirements written for the build you play, not a B41 line copied onto B42.

Will armor stop every zombie hit?

No. Plates change how much gets through. They do not make the car a safe room, and they do not repair a ruined engine.
